It’s amazing we survived
Lots of stuff going on since the last post. Won’t bore everyone with all the details but only hit some of the highlights.
Most important – My XBox 360 died last week! The ever popular “Red Ring of Death” strikes again. Also known as the RROD, it has plagued systems for years now, so much so that Microsoft set aside $1 billion to fix them and extended warranties to 3 years. Already have it back and it appears to work just fine. Seems quieter also.
Lakers win NBA title – didn’t really care who won but my prediction of Shaq winning a title before Kobe did proved to be the most prophetic statement I have ever made.
Deaths galore – Farrah Fawcett, Steve McNair, The Shamwow guy, Karl Malden, Ed McMahon and of course Michael Jackson. Of all those, Steven McNair and MJ are the most shocking. The others led long lives (except Shamwow but was he really famous?) and had been sick for sometime. McNair made a mistake but before we judge, remember, we don’t know all the details of his life, marriage or other business. As for MJ, the Michael Jackson I know and love died a long time ago.
No hitter – A random San Francisco Giants pitcher threw a no-hitter last night.
UFC 100 – Leaving to go watch it at a friends house. Looking forward to it.
